Tammy Engebretson

Currently, I am the Early Childhood Quality Improvement Project Manager at Iowa AEYC. I work with a team of consultants that strive to improve quality in a coalition of child care centers that work with a large majority of low-income families. Previously, I worked for several years at a large child care company as a CDA facilitator. I spent 10 years working as an adjunct instructor at a community college teaching early childhood classes and doing training and consultation in a variety of early childhood settings. Prior to that, I worked as the Director of a child care center serving 145 children ages 6 weeks - kindergarten and before that, as the Early Head Start (EHS) Coordinator in a center-based EHS program. Much of the training I've done uses the West Ed training materials and videos and covers each of the competency areas needed to obtain the CDA credential.
