Alba Muñoz is a PITC Facilitator at WestEd. She currently supports the PITC Trainer Institute. She has been in the early childhood field for more than 30 years.

Muñoz started her career as a preschool/head teacher and later managed her large family child care program. She worked as an adjunct instructor at a community college and collaborated to write the Microenterprise Family Child Care Program grant for a community college Family Resource Center. She became the program coordinator and instructor. She has participated as a Director Mentor for the California Early Childhood Mentor Program. Muñoz is a bilingual early childhood and business trainer and coach at the YMCA Childcare Resource Service.

Muñoz received a BA in child development from San Diego State University and an MA in early childhood from National University. She is a CLASS Infant, Pre K-3rd, and Business Administrator Scale reviewer. She holds a trainer certification from WestEd programs, the Program of Infant/Toddler Care, Beginning Together, and Family Child Care at Its Best. Other trainer certifications include The Growing Brain (Zero to Three), Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support, and Trauma Informed Care. Muñoz received the YMCA San Diego Emerging Leadership Award.
