Deborah Greenwald has worked in the infant family field for three decades. She joined WestEd in 2002 as a Senior Program Associate. She currently leads the team designing the PITC Institute for the digital learning environment. Greenwald has been a member of the PITC faculty since 2001. She has led the development and revision of numerous publications, videos, and resources supporting infant/toddler care and education in California and nationally.
Prior to joining WestEd, Greenwald spent 15 years working in infant/toddler group care, as a primary caregiver, a facilitator for parent/infant guidance classes with Magda Gerber, and as infant/toddler resource specialist in a resource and referral agency. She brings this wealth of practical experience and her love of babies into her design and development work.
Greenwald received a BA in child development from Humboldt State University and an MA in human development from Pacific Oaks College. She also holds certificates from the American Montessori Society and Resources for Infant Educarers.
