Janis Keyser is a consultant for the Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC), writing curriculum, developing, and facilitating online training. Keyser has worked as a project consultant for California Family Partnership Initiative with WestEd, writing and developing the training manual and training the trainers.

Keyser worked at Google Children’s Center co-developing the program and directing centers. She also taught children, parents, and teachers for 30 years in the Early Childhood Education Department at Cabrillo College. During that time, she was the coordinator for a California State Infant/Toddler Demonstration Program at Cabrillo College, in collaboration with PITC.

She consults internationally with teachers, programs, and parents. She is the co-author of Becoming the Parent You Want to Be: A Sourcebook of Strategies for the First Five Years (Broadway Books) and the author of From Parents to Partners: Building Family Centered Care in Early Childhood Programs (adopted by NAEYC). She is the photographer/producer of the video, “Changing the World One Diaper at a Time,” and contributing author for the WestEd book Concepts for Care: 20 Essays on Infant/Toddler Development and Learning.

Keyser received an MA in human development from Pacific Oaks College. She is also a certified PITC trainer.
