Paulina Escamilla-Vestal serves as the Regional Coordinator for Region VI of the Program for Infant/Toddler Care project for WestEd. She is responsible for maintaining and coordinating a network of Infant/Toddler Specialists within the region that encompasses Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne Counties in California. She works in collaboration with local child care planning councils and county commissions as well as other statewide training systems to ensure that requests for training are funded in traditionally underserved areas.

Prior to joining WestEd, Escamilla-Vestal was a Program Manager with Head Start in San Joaquin County. She has also been an adjunct faculty at several community colleges where she taught classes in child development. She is bilingual and has taught and provided trainings in both English and Spanish.

Escamilla-Vestal received a BA in child development from California State University, Chico and an MA in education with an emphasis in early childhood education from California State University, Sacramento. She is also a DRDP certified trainer.
