Tracy Johnson is the Northern California Area Manager for the Program for Infant/Toddler Care, Regional Support Network (PITC RSN) at WestEd. As an Area Manager, Johnson is responsible for managing the activities of the PITC Regional Support Network which includes 12 Regional Coordinators, and over 100 PITC-certified infant/toddler specialists who provide training, mentoring and coaching to administrators and staff in infant/toddler centers, licensed family child care and license-exempt providers, and home visitors.
Prior to joining WestEd in 2004, Johnson worked as an infant/toddler care teacher, family child care provider, parent educator, program consultant, and center director. Johnson has consulted with early childhood programs throughout the United States and trained child care providers in a variety of settings. Johnson has taught child development courses at both San Francisco City College and Foothill Community College. Johnson is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Child Development Department at Santa Rosa Junior College. She has been on the faculty at Santa Rosa Junior College since 1999 where she teaches both face-to-face and online courses.
She received a BA in women's studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MA in early childhood special education, with an infant/toddler emphasis, from San Francisco State University.
